First Cannabis Spa Opens in Denver

Pure Elevations, a new business that recently opened its doors, is the first cannabis spa in Denver. It is also the first business where individuals can purchase and consume cannabis in the city. Consumers are allowed to buy cannabis products and use topicals or consume edibles inside the spa. Individuals can also smoke in the store’s consumption lounge. Recently released data shows that recreational cannabis sales in the state of Ohio have exceeded $50 million since sales were launched in August. This comes after voters in the state passed Issue 2, a ballot initiative that legalized the recreational use of marijuana in November 2023. Brightfield Group, a marijuana data company based in Chicago, has determined that demand for sustainable cannabis products is increasing. The company observed a rise in ecofriendly shopping preferences among consumers of cannabis, with more than 57% of respondents favoring these products last year. This is in comparison to the 55.9% recorded in 2022. The study determined that the consumers were attracted to all ecofriendly packaging options, including biodegradable materials, plant-based materials, compostable choices and plastic-free initiatives. New research has found that administering THC may be effective in preventing brain aging in the long-term. THC is one of the two primary components found in marijuana; the other is CBD.
